Zed’s passion for fashion turned into a storefront & full time business starting in April of 2018; but dates back to Fall of 2016 when he was thrifting vintage clothing & selling sneakers on the side as a student at The Barber School of Pittsburgh.
Previously, he learned the ins and outs of the second hand clothing business while interning at Platos Closet outside of Philadelphia after earning his B.S. in Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2016.
After receiving his license in 2017, he started working as a barber and doing pop up shops at local events under the alias “Zeds Vintage Threads.” This is where he built a relationship with the cousins over at Good Sports PGH; Steven Crump is now our graphic designer & lead buyer in store, and Jake Sullivan is our website manager.
A few months after opening the storefront in the Spring of 2018, business started picking up faster than expected thanks to Instagram and a lot of local love. Zed made the call to his brother Chase, who was then a Graphic Design major at IUP & part time thrifter, to make the move to Pittsburgh and be his right-hand man in the family business.
4 years later and we have been proudly operating in the greatest City in the World, servicing the Pittsburgh area and now beyond thanks to our website. We are grateful yinz shopping with us and hope you find a unique item you love!
